Apostle Lindsey W. Adams Sr.

"He was determined to continue in the Apostle's doctrine & to walk with Jesus..."

Apostle Lindsey Warren Adams, Sr. was the founder and Overseer of the Born Again Free Deliverance Tabernacle Church of God the Apostle's Faith churches in Thomasville, NC & Roseboro, NC.  The headquarter church is in Winston-Salem, NC where he served for 35 years.

Apostle Adams served two consecutive terms in the United States Air Force as a Sargent and received an honorable discharge.  Apostle Adams accepted Christ under the leadership of Bishop Rufus Montague at Christ Holiness Straightway of the Apostle's Faith where he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  God knowing that Apostle Adams needed a helpmate in life, and in the Gospel, he marred the love of his life Apostle Barbara Adams on September 25, 1976.  In the summer of June 1979, Apostle Adams was called into ministry; he was determined to continue in the Apostle's doctrine and to walk with Jesus every step of the way.

Apostle Adams started his first church in his home with his wife and children.  In 1980, Apostle Adams moved into his first building in Garner, NC.  In 1984, Apostle Adams, steadfastly following the will of God, moved to Winston-Salem, NC.  He was a servant of God and preached faithfully throughout Winston-Salem telling men and women that Jesus can save, heal and deliver them from sin.

He was concerned with the people in the community and everyone who ever came into contact with him.  Apostle Adams established the "Helping Hand Ministry" to feed, clothe, and provide shelter for those that were in need.  This ministry touched the lives of individuals through out North Carolina, Virginia & South Carolina.  He also loved children.  He reminded us that, "Children are God's inheritance, so suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."  Apostle Adams will be remembered for this declaration: "Somebody has to tell the child [men & women] about Jesus, and I do believe that it is my responsibility to tell the child about Jesus."  We now have a special scholarship in honor of Apostle Adams for those kids who make the A or A & B Honor Roll, with good attendance and behavior throughout the school year.
